What do you sell?

Wireco is a retail store selling electrical cable cut to length: NMD90 and AC90 (BX) armoured cable with copper conductors.

Do you sell full 75 m or 150 m rolls?

No. We sell cut lengths only, so you can buy just the amount your project needs.

What lengths can I buy?

Lengths are listed on each product page. Most AC90 sizes come in 5 m steps. NMD90 14/2 is sold as a 50 m length.

What's the difference between NMD90 and AC90?

NMD90 is non-metallic sheathed cable for dry or damp locations, typically run concealed in walls and ceilings. AC90 (BX) has interlocked aluminium armour for added mechanical protection and is used in dry locations. Check the Canadian Electrical Code for your application.

What standards does the cable meet?

NMD90: CSA C22.2 No. 48. AC90: CSA C22.2 No. 51.

Are the conductors copper?

Yes. All our cable has copper conductors.

Is "Romex" the same as NMD90?

"Romex" and "Loomex" are trade names people often use for non-metallic sheathed cable. In Canada the cable type is NMD90.

Can I get a length that isn't listed?

Call us at 604-900-7080 or email shopwireco@gmail.com and we'll let you know what we can cut.

How much is shipping?

Shipping options and costs are shown at checkout based on your address and order.

Can I return cable?

No. Every order is cut to your requested length, so all sales are final. If you're not sure which cable or length you need, please contact us before ordering at 604-900-7080 or shopwireco@gmail.com.

Do I need an electrician?

Electrical work rules vary by province. Many installations require a permit and inspection, or a licensed electrician. Check with your local electrical safety authority.
